About

My Story

Ever since I can remember, my mom has had a camera in her hands.

Photoshoots were frequent occurrences, not only on family vacations but at any other time of an ordinary day.

It never interested me for the first two decades of my life. I never thought I could be good enough. Plus, my mom, my uncle, my brother, and my grandpa had it covered. Every family event, there would be at least three or four cameras out and shooting at the same time. There wasn’t any need for a fifth.

But just after my twenty-first birthday, I set out on my own to live and work full-time at a Bible camp in northern Minnesota. I immediately fell in love with all the absolutely gorgeous scenery. I started making friends, started going exploring all around the surrounding cities, and I realized that if I wanted to take photos for my own memories and for my friends and their adorable kids, my smartphone just wouldn’t cut it anymore.

I instantly fell in love.

I realized how valuable the art of photography can be. And the more I dig into it, the more I learn, the more people I’m blessed to meet and love . . . the more I’m able to clearly see all of God’s glorious creation through my humble camera lens.

What happens after I book my session?

Booking Fees

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking. (This deposit will be counted toward the whole session fee.)

The entire remaining fee must be paid before or on day of session, by cash, check, or credit card through Square.

Rescheduling, Cancellations, & Refunds

Due to the unique appointment-based nature of photography, Evergreen Studio holds a strict cancellation policy. The $50 booking fee is never refundable, except under a true emergency, as outlined in your booking contract.

Rescheduling does not affect this fee, and the $50 can be carried over to the next session.

In case of a client no-show at the scheduled appointment time and place, any applicable travel fees must be paid, on top of the $50 booking fee.

In the unlikely circumstance that I am not able to complete our scheduled session due to illness, injury, inclement weather, camera or equipment failure, car accident, or any other unavoidable circumstance, my best efforts will be made to reschedule with no additional deposit fee. In this case, if you would rather cancel than reschedule, all fees will be refunded in full (including the $50 booking fee).

Because photos are digitally delivered and can never be returned, refunds will NOT be issued under any circumstances once the photo album has been delivered via your email.

Editing & Photo Delivery

Basic skin, environment, and background touch-ups and cropping/lighting adjustments are included in your session package; Any extra editing can be requested upfront at $20 per hour of editing time.

You will not receive your photo album until the whole session fee is paid. This includes your $50 booking fee, the additional session fee, and any applicable travel/editing fees and/or sales tax.

I deliver each album by email as a default, with full printing rights. If you’d like to add a physical flash drive, I do charge an extra $30.

Due to different screen resolutions and qualities, any photo you receive from me may ONLY be downloaded from the online photo album provided (pixieset.com), NEVER screenshotted and posted to social media. If screenshotting is seen and suspected, Evergreen Studio reserves the right to request the photos be removed and replaced with corrected copies.

Travel

My location in Big Lake, Minnesota is wonderful for shoots both in nature and in the Twin Cities. But being a little further away does come with a few more expenses. So, unless we discuss it or I’m running a certain special, the following travel fees will apply to each session:

If the shooting location is 40-100 miles from Big Lake, the travel fee is $50. If the location is 100-200 miles from Big Lake, the travel fee is $100. For any further travel inquiries, please contact me directly for a quote.
